Lay Leaders at Church of the Saviour are church members nominated from each of our three worship services. Their role is to communicate questions and concerns directly between the congregation and church leadership. Do you have a question about any of our worship services? Email them at layleaders@cotsumc.org.
Mary Freda Holloway has been a member of Church of the Saviour for nine years. She regularly attends the 8:30 AM Chapel worship service and the Collage Sunday School class. Mary is actively involved as a Eucharist Minister, in Congregational Care, and has served on the SPRC and Global Missions committees. She is inspired by Church of the Saviour’s dedication to community service, inclusivity, and living out the gospel of Jesus Christ.
James Huang, along with his wife, Joyce, and their daughter, Maya, have been attending the modern 9:30AM service since 2019, became members in 2024, and help to co-lead the Alethea small group. He has appreciated COTS' encouragement to grow deeper in relationship with God, leaning into God's open and welcoming invitation into his family.
Geoff Ritts and his wife, Molly, have been members of COTS since 1996. They have three sons, Daniel, Benjamin, and Garrett. Geoff sings in the Chancel Choir and attends the 11:00 service. He’s looking forward to serving as a lay leader and continuing to take inspiration and guidance from his friends at Church of the Saviour.
David Hildebrandt and his wife, Penie, have been members of Church of the Saviour since 2018. He is a member of the Collage Sunday School class, he sings in the Chancel Choir at the 11:00 service, and he is a member of the Governing Board. He also is a member of the Healthy Congregations Team, and he is currently co-leading the Disciple Fast Track class. He is particularly energized by the opportunity as lay leader to grow deeper in faith, and to share the fruit of that faith while pursuing God’s hope for every life alongside the members of his church family.
