Frequently Asked Questions

What do we believe?

We are a Christian church in the United Methodist tradition. Our faith is founded in the historic creeds of the church, with an emphasis on applying our faith to real life. Learn more about United Methodist beliefs here.

Who is welcome here?

Everyone! No matter your age, race, economic status, gender, or identity, if you want to explore your faith and pursue God’s hope for your life, you are welcome, included, and belong here.

How do I join?

Everyone is free to participate fully in the life of the church, regardless of membership status. When you decide you’re ready to move beyond being a participant to becoming a member, we invite you to attend a 90-minute orientation session we call Embark.

How long is each worship service?

The 8:30 chapel service is approximately 45 minutes. The 9:30 modern and 11:00 sanctuary worship services are about an hour each. Holy communion is administered at every 8:30 service, and on the first Sunday of the month at 9:30 and 11:00.

Is child care Available?

Nursery care is provided every Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday School is offered at 11:00 a.m. Child care is also provided for other events as needed.

Which door do I use?

All doors from the rear parking lot are open on Sunday mornings. The central rear door provides closest access to the chapel for the 8:30 service. Please note that this entrance, nor the chapel itself, are handicap accessible. The southern-most door off the rear parking lot, called the Great Hall Entrance, provides easy access to the 9:30 modern worship service. For the 11:00 sanctuary service, use the northern-most, covered door from the rear parking lot, called the Reinberger Entrance, for handicap accessibility. Alternatively, you may park in the North Lot at the corner of Lee and Bradford Roads, and enter the Sanctuary from the Bradford Road door. During the week, use the covered Reinberger Entrance for access to the Church Office.

Where do I park?

Most people find it easiest to park in the lot behind the church between Bradford Road and E. Monmouth Road. For events in the Sanctuary and for overflow, there is an additional North Lot at the corner of Lee and Bradford Roads.

What are the church hours?

During the week, the office is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Who can be baptized?

We baptize people of all ages, including infants, at Church of the Saviour. It is God’s action that makes it sacramental, not ours. To learn more about being baptized at Church of the Saviour, call the Church Office at 216-321-8880.

Thursday Nights Together

We are committed to growing in faith together, so on Thursday nights we gather to share a meal and participate in small groups. Dinner is served between 6:00-6:30 p.m. and then small group opportunities, including music groups, begin at 6:30 p.m. and go throughout the evening. Thursday Nights Together offer opportunities for all age groups.
