Perspectives: Black Theologian Day

Guest Speaker: Rev. Joe Daniels

The theme for this year is: Faith in Action: Beginning a good work

Scripture: Nehemiah 2:17-18

Our Guest Theologian is Dr. Joseph Daniels, Jr., lead pastor of Emory United Methodist Church in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. He is leader of a Relevant, Enthusiastic, Authentic and Loving (REAL) church movement which seeks to be a “Real Church for Real People.”

During his Bearing Real Fruit presentation at the 2018 East Ohio Conference, Daniels challenged our conference to make a difference in the lives of people in their communities. “Beginning a Good Work” is what happens when we overcome fear, trust God, and partner with God in kingdom building work.

Come hear Dr. Daniels for a more in-depth, personal, and continuation of his Bearing Fruit presentation that we might learn together how to begin a “Good Work” in East Ohio!

Childcare is availabile and is sponsored by the East Ohio Methodists for Social Action (MFSA)
